Does anyone else remember the trends from the era when you 'came of age', so to speak? I do. Ah, early 90's grunge. Flannel shirts, ripped jeans, Chucks, ditsy floral print dresses, Docs. I could probably go on!
Obviously I'm still not raiding my dad's closet for his flannel shirts, but I still have special place in my heart for a comfy pair of jeans, a pair of Chucks, a ditsy floral dress, a bad ass pair of Docs. But now in a more grown up way. My ill fitting ripped jeans have been replaced with a pair of skinny jeans. My Chucks... haven't changed much! ; D My ditsy floral print dresses... fit! And are more feminine. And my Docs? Well, now they are the awesome booties that I just acquired! I lurv them! I just got them yesterday and wore them out last night for a family birthday dinner at
Clementine's. I must have been channeling my inner 90's bad ass with this outfit:
These boots are just plain awesome! Not too high, wedge, grippy soles. Comfortable! It's love. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go watch
Reality Bites.
