Hazy Shade Of Winter

Ok, it's official! I'm over winter! I'm tired of thinking up cute outfits, then realizing that it's 30 degrees (or less!) outside. And there's about 6 inches of snow on the ground. Grrrrr! Snow. Boots! This is now a four letter word in my book. I think my feet have developed a raging case of cabin fever and just want to be free! Free! Ballet flats and sandals! How I pine for you! I think I'm just feel totally uninspired right now. : ( Spring? Where are you? This was my outfit for wedding dress shopping with Rachel, Lauren, and Karen yesterday. Simple. Warm. Boots.

On the dress shopping front, we were very successful! Everyone found a dress that they liked. Rachel found her dream dress at K and B Bridal! It was fate! I'd post it, but I'm playing it safe, just in case. Here's my dress (in Clover)! It's so pretty! I feel like a fairy princess in it! I'm a dork, I know.

I Wish I Was A Punk Rocker (With Flowers In My Hair)

I got a lot compliments on my hair today, which is very flattering, but also funny to me because I literally pulled it up super quick and totally haphazard! I've been doing this a lot lately. It's at a weird length were it's to short to pull into a ponytail or bun, but long enough that it's driving me loony! I know I'm incredibly "lucky" to have such "beautiful" hair (thanks to all of my aunts for constantly reminding me!), but really, we have a love hate relationship, my hair and I. Maybe someday we'll get along. Maybe. Probably not, though.

Fallen Snow

Well, 6 inches of snow and not a plow in sight! What's a girl to do? I tried to use the field of dreams (If you build it, he will come) method on the plow (If you dig your car out, the plow will come), but to no avail! So, getting to work today was an epic failure! Hopefully it'll come through before 6pm, because I'm supposed to meet up with Rachel to check out a wedding dress she really likes at K and B Bridals, which is coincidentally owned by a girl I used to Irish dance with! HarCo is too small! Saturday we're looking for bridesmaid dresses @ Alfred Angelo and David's Bridal. This is my favorite! Anyway, this was my 'Digging The Car Out, Waiting For The Plow' ensemble (And hopefully my 'Wedding Dress Shopping With Rachel' ensemble! Fingers crossed!) for the day:

Maybe I'll work on my 30 For 30.

Sunday Girl

So, every Sunday morning after you’ve woken up/ had coffee/ gone to church/ rolled out of someone else’s bed, you think to yourself “What am I gonna do with the rest of my day?”. I’ll tell you what! Dance with Fluid Movement from 11:00 to 12:15!! Sweat out a week’s worth of worry with the fun & fabulous Fluid Movement! Different dance instructors will be teaching the style of their choice to whomever shows up. Teachers change every 4 weeks, so if hip-hop a la Bob Fosse ain’t your style, just wait a month til cha cha & rumba!

This marks the second week that Erin and I have attended this great class. We're quickly becoming masters of the Cha Cha, and even learned a little of the Rumba today! I see a night at the Latin Palace and a red spangly dress in our future! Ok, maybe the red spangly dress is just for me...

We followed dance class up with an amazing brunch and one of the best Bloody Mary's I've ever had at Clementine! We've decided to make it a regular haunt. Did I mention they have amazing Bloody Mary's?

The rest of my day has been spent lazing around watching old favorite movies,  Y Tu Mamá También , Amélie, and Harold and Maude, and crocheting a pair of these leg warmers. I love Sundays!

30 For 30 Winter Edition- My 30

Here are my picks for the 30 For 30 Challenge! I picked a lot of items that are already in heavy rotation, to kinda make it easy on myself (I'm wading in, bit by bit. Not plunging in, feet first!). I figure, if I survive this one, next time I'll get a little more adventurous and pick stuff that only sees the light of day a few times a year! That would force me to be creative with clothes I sometimes draw a blank on what to do with!

I thought it would be funny to post what I was wearing while working on this fun project:

It's hardly glamorous or fashionable, but it was warm! Go figure, my first fashion post would be me looking like a complete ragamuffin! But it did give me a chance to play around with my new tripod!
