Flower Duet Redux

Argh! Back to the grind. That first day back at work after a week off is always the hardest! 

This outfit reminds me of a simpler time. And by simpler, I mean Saturday, when I didn't have to work! Since Saturday was so beautiful (70 degrees with a nice breeze) and I spent the day traipsing around the Baltimore Flowermart, this easy maxi dress was perfect! I love maxi dresses, but they don't always love me. Mainly because I'm barely pushing 5'3" (I round up.). It's hard to find one that isn't dragging on the ground. And, for some unknown reason, you very rarely find maxi dresses in the petites dept. Maybe there's a conspiracy...

 

I mean, seriously, maxi dresses are so ridiculously comfortable! They're like pj's, but dressier!

I also got to wear my new straw fedora for the first time! I'm trying to be better about protecting my skin from the sun. This hat is fashion and function! Two thumbs up!

I saw this Turquiose beads in a bottle necklace in the May Free People catalog and recreated it on my own.
